Stan VanSant has lived in and around the Atlanta area all of his life.  He is IMPACT Certified, started coaching at Lakeside in 2006 and has coached Club Teams since 2004.   He also conducts volleyball clinics in the community.  Stan's 2006 JV team set the Lakeside volleyball winning percentage record at 23-6.  Stan is a software engineer for Northrop Grumman and has been contracting with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) since 1992.  While contracting at the CDC, Stan has been published and has received numerous awards, certificates and plaques.  He is a graduate of The University of Georgia (UGA) where he earned a B.A. in Computer Science and Anthropology.  Stan began his volleyball career on a Club team at UGA.  From there he played many years in the Southern Region on USAV teams, coached USAV and became a certified referee and scorer.  Stan also played many years of beach doubles volleyball across the U.S. earning his AA rating.  He still enjoys playing both indoor and outdoor volleyball.
